The potential for agriculture and logistics development in Vietnam<\/h2>\n

Vietnam’s agricultural exports rank second in Southeast Asia and 13th globally, with products appearing in more than 180 countries.<\/p>\n

In 2021, our country reached a rice export volume of 43.86 million tons, up 1.1 million tons compared to the previous year, with the proportion of high-quality rice accounting for over 89%, the average export price reaching 526.8 USD\/ton.<\/p>\n

Vietnam has more than 12 million hectares of vegetable land and 1.18 million fruit trees. The Mekong Delta is considered the country’s giant fruit and agricultural product basket.<\/p>\n

Regarding logistics, according to the Ministry of Industry and Trade report in 2021, Vietnam has nearly 31,000 businesses registered, ranking first among ASEAN countries in the number of logistics enterprises licensed by FMC.<\/p>\n

Besides, traceability is an essential factor when blockchain is developing nowadays. This brings trust and transparency to consumers, making the supply chain more seamless and optimized.<\/p>\n

Challenges for the logistics industry in the trend of agricultural e-commerce.<\/h2>\n

Vietnam does not have unified and specialized infrastructure systems for agricultural production, while consumer demand increases, requiring more warehouses and goods storage.<\/p>\n

Technology systems that can connect supply and demand with high-quality human resources are limited, making agricultural products fragmented and disconnected from collection and distribution.<\/p>\n

The serving of rural logistics is still limited, unequal in terms of techniques and consumption sources are not stable, costs are still high, and this cannot optimize resources.<\/p>\n
